In the late evening I decided to get the kids out and go on a rain walk. It had been raining relentlessly and I noticed on the way back from the library that our local lake was rising so high, it was a few feet from crossing the road.
So we bundled up and headed out.
The rivers we found were definitely higher than normal and a few bridges were closed.
We had a few mishaps along the way. (Lochlan fell in the mud)
And Bria's hair was slapping her in the face. (She liked the fix!)
And the kids got a bunch of leaves and branches to bring home.
It rains a lot in Oregon and I should be better about taking the kids out in the rain because they love using their umbrellas and they really had fun :)
