How It All Went Down... Moving Day - Part 2

The kids were so excited for the plane ride! The last time Mason and Lochlan flew was when we went to Houston. Kaiah was two and Cambria had never flown.

Lochlan probably loved it the most! He told the flight attendant, "This plane is SO fun!" And we could hear him from two seats back singing and saying how much fun he was having... until he slept, and then it was quiet!

It was raining when we left Oregon and I was excited for the kids to see what it was like above the clouds.

Kaiah took all of these pictures :)

Nearing Hawaii, we saw those puffy white clouds that constantly blow through.

We landed a half an hour early! So, we called our friend George to come pick us up while we unloaded our multitudes of stuff.

George picked up Cliff and took him to the port to get the car (which had conveniently arrived 3 days earlier).

While we waited, Mason identified his first bird! A spotted dove :)

See it there on the rail above him?

It only the guys 15-20 minutes to get back! We quickly loaded all the boxes and bags into George's Expedition and our van and took off for our new home! We called the landlord to let him know we would be there 3 hours earlier than expected! That was very surprising. Things were working so perfectly... we wouldn't realize for three days that we were missing a backpack with all of our birth certificates, social security cards, and our marriage certificate...

We spent the rest of that first day unloading a few things from boxes, spending some time at the beach, and grocery/supply shopping. We spent our first night on the floor with no furniture or beds and with only the things that we brought with us on the plane. The next few days were a whirlwind of activity with all the purchases that came with starting back up a household. That will be my next post... with some pics of our place! We really love it. This island is so beautiful!
