Well, I'm glad you asked!
It's so humid...
the salt, garlic powder, powdered dish soap, baking powder, baking soda, and marinades all chunk up and stick together.
our glass windows and pictures have streaks of water that have accumulated and dripped halfway down.
the dry-erase board ink almost immediately separates into tiny little dots and loses it's sharp writing edge.
I start sweating after a shower when I'm not even working very hard.
that mold grows in damp closets... which then grows onto towels, clothes, shoes (especially leather), wicker laundry baskets and scrapbook bags, causing me to have major breathing problems and leads to a bunch of things needing to be thrown away or bleach-sprayed.
that it takes a long time for things to air dry (especially when the trade winds have died down).
cheese goes bad faster.
lettuce spoils more quickly.
buckles on our purses and bags, key chains, and necklaces/earrings (that are not sterling silver) rust.
Our bottles or glasses of ice water sweat so severely, the cracks in our table have warped from water condensing, pooling and dripping down. They have also placed a huge drop of perfectly placed water in my iphone ruining it completely.
caramel corn must be consumed within 1-2 hours of making it or it gets mushy and limp.
I'm reminding myself of these things if we end up moving back and I start to only remember the wonderful things about Hawaii. There are plenty of difficulties too.
