Last week he asked me to wake him up when I got up to read my Bible. Talk about an accountability partner! So he got up and went to get his Bible and started his own devotions. The first thing he found (that he camped on for a while) was the story about John the Baptist's head getting cut off... Yep, typical little boy! Going for the blood and guts... But we are thrilled that he's reading God's Word!

I added to my morning routine, a yummy cup of hot cocoa with marshmallows!
The last few days he has been getting up on his own and getting started right away. And as of this morning he has his first recruit!

Now I need to get some sugar free hot chocolate...
It's a great privilege to be able to watch my children grow in their new life in Christ. But it is also very sobering to me to know that they are watching and imitating both the good and the bad that they see in me and Cliff. I pray that God would continue to work in us so that we can encourage our kids in their walk. These verses I pray for all of us:
Philippians 1:9-11 And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ - to the glory and praise of God.
Ephesians 1:18-19 I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength,
