After we had been reading about our atmosphere and how wonderful it is, we were going over the highlights and I was asking them to tell me why it was so great. I was expecting something like... It keeps the earth from getting too cold at night, or It is made of oxygen for us to breathe or even It protects us from falling meteors and burns them up before they get to the ground... The comment I got from Mason:
"It gives us hope."
I couldn't stop laughing!
Then a bird (Junco) flew into our window where it sits in a state of shock with it's beak open, probably dying or maybe even dead right now. As Cambria was looking at it through the window, she smiled up at me with a sweet little smile and said,
"Momma! Look at him! He is smiling! He is just so happy! He loves everything!"
Gotta love that girls optimism :) Here is the picture of my optimistic little princess with the poor suffering little guy...
I love these kids! They crack me up.
