Horse Camp

Kaiah and Katelyn got to do a fun day-long horse camp the other day!

They had so much fun all day long! I know, because, thought I was supposed to leave like the other parents, I couldn't because Kaiah still has a lot of anxiety when I leave. She knows what to do and how to manage her sugars and insulin for the most part, but really likes to have the safety net around her. So I stayed all day.

I tried my hand at being a paparazzi.

LOVE this one of Katelyn!!

I visited with the camp chef while I counted her carbs and prepared notes for Kaiah to follow (I'm trying to get her to do this a little more on her own even though I really don't mind AT ALL)!

I took a nap.

I read several chapters of a book.

And I spied on the girls and occasionally waved :)

Washing the horses was a nice activity on the first really HOT summer.

They practiced all day and learned all about working with the horses. Then at the end of the day, they got to show all the parents their skills and walk their horse without anyone leading them!

I love how Kaiah gets up close and lovey with all animals :)

The girls really had so much fun together! It was such a special cousin time for them :) Thanks to Cheryl for watching Cambria and to Dada for keeping the boys so I could be there.
