We made a friend this year who works in the film industry. He is a very talented guy who also happens to teach an apologetics class that our older two kids attended. The first time we came, he looked at us (I brought all 4 kids) and said, "Your whole family looks like beautiful woodland elves." Hmmm. I didn't really know how to take that. I've never been called an elf before. But he has said it maybe 5 times since then and has declared that if he ever has occasion to cast some woodland elves, he will be calling us. So far that hasn't happened. But he did need an actress for a documentary series he's been working on. Cambria fit the part.
So last spring, she spent the morning getting "hit by a car", laying in the street, having fake blood spewn on her, and pretending she was dead.
It was actually quite fun, yet sobering, because we were reenacting real-life events. The man whose story they told is very inspiring! The showed aired on Hawaiian TV. Here is the link to watch:
