Disneyland Character: Kaiah

Sweet little Kaiah.

She enjoyed everything we did the first day.

She danced and danced with the younger kids,

enjoyed meeting the characters,

only got low a few times (really, for some reason, we seem to have better control over her sugar on vacation...),

and she embraced each new ride with enthusiasm...

until we asked her if she wanted to try the huge roller coaster California Screamin'. This was when she started her leg-shaking, I don't want to but I do cry. Just as she was about to make a decision for or against, she would back out and start to cry again. Finally we had had enough and just made the decision for her. She would stay with the little kids and ride the carousel while we went.

She was devastated.

She wanted to go so badly, but couldn't quite work up the courage under pressure. So Cliff decided that what she needed was first, a pep talk. Second, she needed a night to sleep on it. And third, she needed to do a fun ride to get her adrenaline pumping right before the roller coaster so she could more readily embrace the scariest ride in the park.

It seemed to work! She had the pep-talk, made the decision to do it the next day, and chose to warm up on the Grizzly River Run again.

This time she was ready! She did it!!! And then she did it again... and again... and again... I think that kid went on the ride about 6 to 8 times.

Ha! Then she did the Tower of Terror repeatedly.

The result of this trip is that we now have a little daredevil on our hands :) She is truly an adrenaline junkie (who, by the way, uses HOT sauce as salad dressing)!

It was really fun seeing our sweet little girl doing such big stuff and LOVING it :)
