Disneyland Character: Cambria

It's way past time to finish up these Disneyland character posts! Cambria was one of the biggest reasons for Cliff wanting to plan this last minute trip. She constantly lives in a state of wonder and imagination. She spends all day dancing, singing, and pretending she's a princess. Sleeping Beauty has been her obsession all year long... she sings the song all day, wears her dress up all day and she even gasps in wonder at the smallest things using her Sleeping Beauty voice. I almost committed the most cardinal sin of them all... We were all packed up for the trip, everyone was in the car, and I had a light bulb go on in my head reminding myself to go back and get her princess dresses. Phew! That was a close one... Cliff looked at me like I was crazy and said, "Why did you even pack any other clothes??" It turns out he was right. She hardly wore anything else. The weather was a perfect 70 almost every day. So she was quite comfortable.
One fun quote when we had been on the road for only a couple of hours: (at the first gas station) -

"Hey! I thought we were going to Disleyland?!"

We didn't get to see the princesses right away, so here is a rare shot of her in "normal" clothes enjoying the zip line :)

Cambria really had fun with everything:

rides...

Toon Town,

being silly everywhere,

and she even tried the scary big kid rides!

(Grizzly River Run)

(Thunder Mountain Railroad)

She had her hand kissed by Goofy!

When we got to finally see the princesses, we were amazed to be 2nd in line for Sleeping Beauty!! Some kids waited in line for more than an hour to see the "B list" ones. Let me just say it helps to ask questions... because we got some sweet tips from park workers that saved us a ton of time!

The princesses stayed in character so well!

She got to meet Belle many different times :)

Tiana was gorgeous and very sweet with her. Then she twirled with her and Cambria was in heaven!

But Ariel was the lucky one to hear her finally say something. Bria did talk a little, but was so star struck that she could barely get out what she had been wanting to say for so long... At her last meeting with the last princess, Ariel, Bria finally said, "I love you!" Boy was that a relief. It took her a long time to get up the courage :)

After this visit to the princesses, Cambria held her autograph book in her lap and did not stop writing in it for a long time.

We decided that I would take Cambria to Ariel's Grotto for a character breakfast. She loved every second. It was well worth the money. She got to see all of her favorites again and have more one on one time that wasn't as rushed. We had a fancy lunch too.

And some of the best memories we had were of little Bria dancing. She danced at the Princess Fantasy Fair, she danced in line for rides, she danced before and after meals, and she danced at Downtown Disney for a long time with Kaiah :)

Kaiah was such a loving sister to her. Even though she's pretty much out of the princess stuff, she danced the night (and day) away with her little sister.

By the end of each day she was exhausted..

This trip was so fun! Cambria was the perfect age...
